Beech-Nut Food Drive

Beech-Nut is asking Melissa Joan Hart to introduce "A Jar For A Jar" food drive where they will donate up to one million jars of baby food to the Feed the Children Foundation. I think this is an awesome idea. You can head on over to the Beech-Nut website, and find the picture link to a couple of great coupons which any mother could definitely use.

Who doesn't love Coupons?

And while I love this campaign that Beech-Nut has started, the prospect of recycling the baby food jars are endless. I love to make things and there are a number of great craft ideas around the web for you to do.
Like: This Baby food jar tutorial
Parenting idea of a baby food jar garden
E-how's baby food jar storage shelf (my favorite)
Cratfster's Holiday salt scrubs just a mini version.

These are only a few ideas that I happen to like. You can also make almost any candle holder imaginable: ones that hang, ones that stick out from the ground, some that are covered in silk flowers, and still others covered in silhouetted with spooky decals. The options are endless.

So if you've got a baby or a friend that does reuse those baby food jars for something useful. Purchase some Beech-Nut baby food, and you'll also be contributing to feed less fortunate children. It's a win-win situation that pays off in the long run.

So get active and get crafting!
